Day 1: Luang Prabang – Kamu Lodge

Take the Kamu boat for a cruise up the Mekong River to Kamu Village. Along your way, stop at Pak Ou Village, at the mouth of the Nam Ou River, to visit the famous Pak Ou Caves, “Caves of a Thousand Buddha’s”. These groups of caves, only accessible by boat, are filled with hundreds of Buddha figures. After visiting this remarkable site, continue on the boat to Kamu Village. Once you arrive, check-in at Kamu lodge and enjoy lunch at the Lodge’s Sala. This afternoon you can choose to participate in the many activities the lodge has to offer, such as fishing and Laos archery. Or, for the more adventurous types, try an excursion to magnificent caves and waterfalls.

Day 2: Kamu Lodge – Pakbeng

Relax and enjoy breakfast at the lodge before your visit to the village of Kamu. Then continue your cruise aboard the Luang Say while enjoying a delicious buffet lunch. Make a brief stop at Ban Baw to see how the locals produce their traditional rice alcohol. Arrive at Luang Say Lodge for an overnight stop and enjoy dinner on the terrace overlooking the Mekong River.

Day 3: Pakbeng - Houeisay

After breakfast, you have the option of going to Pakbeng market to have a look around or buy local produce. Board the Luang Say and continue your journey to Houeisay. While floating down the river, make a stop to observe the local culture and sights. Have lunch aboard the ship before reaching Houeisay.
