Day 1: Nuremberg
Arrive at the port in the afternoon and check into your cabin at your leisure. Enjoy a welcome drink as you settle in and dinner is served later this evening.

Day 2: Bamberg
This morning you will arrive in one of the only cities that managed to preserve its ancient history throughout both world wars. Bamberg is known as a beer drinkers’ Eden because there are nine different breweries in the city. The most famous beer is smoked beer. You can explore the architecture of Bamberg, during a city tour this morning, with styles ranging from Renaissance to Gothic. In the afternoon you will board the Amadeus Princess and continue to Wuerzburg.

Day 3: Wuerzburg
You will arrive in Wuerzberg, a city famous for its wine, this morning. On the banks of the Main River is the Fortress Marienberg. This landmark served as the home for the prince-bishops for almost five centuries and can be seen on the optional city walk. This afternoon you may choose to join an excursion to Rothenburg. In the evening, enjoy some music on board the ship before cruising towards Wertheim overnight.

Day 4: Wertheim
The Amadeus Princess will arrive in Wertheim in the morning. This medieval village is home to one of the largest castles in Germany, Wertheim Castle, which was built in the 12th Century. Within the city you can find some fantastic glasswork, which would make a perfect souvenir. You may choose to join a guided tour, or explore the hidden treasures of Wertheim on your own. At lunch time you will head on to the gated village of Miltenberg for a brief stop. In the afternoon you will continue on to Ruedesheim, where you should arrive tomorrow morning.

Day 5: Ruedesheim - Koblenz
This morning you will arrive in Ruedesheim and have the morning to explore. You may wish to join a tour of the city or spend some time soaking up the atmosphere on your own. The remains of two old castles, Boosenburg and Vorderburg, are popular tourist attractions, as well as the aristocratic mansions that are sprinkled throughout the town. At lunch time the ship will depart for Koblenz and there will be an optional walking tour of the city later this afternoon. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to become further acquainted with your new surroundings. The ship leaves Koblenz late this evening.

Day 6: Cologne
This morning you arrive in Cologne. The city was founded by the Romans in 38 BC and became acknowledged as a city in 50 AD. Remains of the Romans can still be found in Cologne today. Arguably the most famous structure in Cologne is the cathedral. It is the largest Gothic church in Northern Europe and it took over 600 years to complete. You may want to explore the city further by joining a guided tour. In the evening there is a Captain’s Gala dinner back on board the Amadeus Princess, with a show performed by the crew. Later, you will set sail towards Amsterdam.

Day 7: Amsterdam
You will arrive in the beautiful Dutch capital city of Amsterdam this morning for a city tour. Amsterdam has an abundance of art museums, including the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk Museum and Anne Franks’ House, as well as an extensive river canal system. Amsterdam boasts the world’s only floating flower market and this is a great place to wander and soak up the true culture of the city. In the evening there will be a Dutch folklore show on board the ship to mark the final night of your cruise.
