Yasawa Princess

Best of Central Atoll 15 Day Cruise

The Yasawa Princess is a 60 passenger ship, offering idyllic cruises around the Maldives, a country made up of some of the bluest lagoons and finest atolls in the world. On board the ship, the atmosphere is distinctly laid-back. You can choose to swim and snorkel off pristine white sandbanks, enjoy night barbecues on uninhibited islands, or just relax on the sun deck with a book and your favourite drink in hand. The ship's 33 cabins are arranged over three decks and onboard amenities include indoor and outside dining areas, a bar, a professional dive centre and an inviting sun deck.





Embark the ship in Villigili, Malé.

Day 1: Malé

Transfer by boat from Malé International Airport to the Yasawa Princess anchored just off of Villigili where you will be greeted and assisted to the boat’s private tender for your transfer. Check into your cabin and join a welcome briefing. This evening enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail on the bar/restaurant deck.

Day 2: Kuda Bandos, Picnic Island

Arrive at Kuda Bandos, Picnic Island, an uninhabited island in the North Male Atoll. Spend the day relaxing on the beautiful white sand beach that surrounds the island and go swimming and snorkeling. There are numerous dive sites with reach including a manta ray cleaning station in the summer season.

Day 3: Vaadhoo Channel - South Male’ Atoll

Arrive at the South Male atoll, stopping at a beautiful sand bank surrounded by beautiful coral. Relax on the beach, swim and snorkel in the colourful reef where you may spot different types of Moray Eels, turtles, eagle rays and napoleon wrasse with a bit of luck.

Day 4: Maadhoo Finolhu Picnic Island

Spend at full day at Maadhoo Finolhu Picnic Island. The island has of course a beautiful beach but also a large lagoon ideal for snorkeling. Night fishing can also be enjoyed here.

Day 5: Vaavu Atoll

Enjoy an early morning cruise to Vaavu Atoll and anchor off Alimatha Sand Bank located on the eastern edge of the atoll. A big turquoise lagoon surrounds this sand bar and has an attractive reef to snorkel. Lunch will be served on the island. Sun Umbrellas will be placed for shade if the conditions are favourable. Optional night snorkeling session at the Alimatha Resort House Reef will be available.

Day 6: Vaavu Atoll

There will be a short cruise in the morning to Vashugiri, a small picnic island located on the north western side of Vaavu Atoll. Here you may enjoy snorkeling and relaxing on the beach. Lunch will be served on the ship. In the evening enjoy a bbq on the beach with drinks and music and sample some fine Maldivian cuisine under the stars.

Day 7: South Ari Atoll

Early morning cruise crossing the channel to South Ari Atoll. A tender will be ready to transfer you to the sand bank boasting a stunning reef with lots of healthy hard corals, making it an ideal snorkeling spot. In the afternoon enjoy a visit to the Local island Dhangethi and get a glimpse of local island life. Optional night fishing excursion can also be arrange this evening as well as an optional Manta Ray/Whale shark excursion.

Day 8: Ariadhoo

Enjoy an early morning cruise to Ariadhoo, an agricultural Island with lots of plantation. Guests continuing on the cruise for the second week will be going to the island for swimming and sunbathing. One week guests will disembark at this point to Maamagili Airport and take a domestic flight back to Malé’ to catch the International Flights.

Day 9: Hurasdhoo

Today the ship cruises to Hurasdhoo, a small deserted island with white sandy beaches surrounding the island. For the keen snorkeler, head to the Nice House reef. Otherwise swim in the warm waters and relax on the beach. Tonight’s fishing trip is targeting reef fish with traditional hand line bottom fishing techniques.

Day 10: Raidhigaa

Today enjoy a short cruise to Raidhigaa, a picnic island with a natural harbour. The reef surrounding the island has an enclosed lagoon with two narrow channels for vessels to enter. The island also has a long white sandy beach at one end where snorkelers can easily swim from the beach to deeper water.

Day 11: Meerufenfushi

Morning cruise to Meerufenfushi, a deserted island located in the center of Ari atoll. The beach stretches on one side depending on the monsoon and the reef surrounding the island is a good site for snorkelers. Spend a full day on the island only returning to the boat for lunch. Late afternoon the crew members will set up the evening BBQ dinner on the beach.

Day 12: Velidhu Island

Arrive at Velidhu Island, a small, comfortable and relaxed holiday resort. Here you may enjoy snorkeling in the magnificent house reef or relaxing on the beach. It has a beach-side restaurant and a bar. Buffet Lunch, Spa and other facilities from this resort island can be arranged if booked in advance ( all other services excluding landing fee has to be borne by the guest).

Day 13: Maayafushi Sand Bank

Today the ship cruises to Maayafushi Sand Bank, a large sand bank located at the northern edge of ari atoll. Flocks of common Seabirds can be found on this sand bar and the colourful reef has lots of nice coral and fish for snorkeling. Tonight’s fishing trip is targeting reef fish with traditional hand line bottom fishing techniques.

Day 14: Malé

Enjoy a final swim at a sand bar before the ship sets sail for Male. The journey from North Ari Atoll to Malé’ will take around 4-5 hours. Once you reach Male’ a dhoni will take you to Male’ the capital of Maldives where you can visit the local fish market, have an ice cream or do some shopping for souvenirs. Tonight enjoy the “Captain’s Dinner".

Day 15: Malé

After your final breakfast, disembark the ship in Malé and transfer to the airport.


Disembark the ship in Malé. Transfer to airport or resort.
