Originally built as a North Sea fishing trawler, the Wanderbird has now been converted to a very comfortable long range expedition trawler traversing the coastlines of Canada, Alaska and the Caribbean. Measuring 90 feet in length, the Wanderbird has the feel of a traditional Dutch fishing vessel, characterised with varnished wood panels and brass fittings. The vessel offers six spacious double cabins furnished to a good standard with en-suite shower facilities located on the lower deck. The top deck provides ample space for wildlife watching or stargazing and the popular coach house is perfect for relaxing and socialising, providing protection from the weather with comfortable seating, large windows and a library. The salon below deck provides space for educational films and natural history demonstrations. The vessel also carries two small boats for on-shore adventures to places of remote beauty and historical significance.
