Day 1: Portland, Oregon

You'll be met at the airport and transferred to the SS Legacy moored in Portland. Enjoy champagne and hors d’oeuvres before dinner, then following dinner, gather in the Grand Salon for an evening presentation about your week's journey through time.

Day 2: Hood River - Columbia River Gorge

Today you will visit two wineries in the Columbia Gorge. Here you will enjoy a tasting at Hood River's beautifully rustic Springhouse Cellar—a working winery housed in a former turn-of-the-century fruit cannery and distillery. At Mt. Hood Winery, the expertise of eight generations of winemakers is yours to savor—tour and taste at this century-old farm under the watchful gaze of the winery’s volcanic namesake. Later return to the ship as it continues upriver through the impressive Columbia River Gorge.

Day 3: Walla Walla, Washington

Arrive at one of the top ten wine regions in the world. This world-class wine country was shaped by its distinctive micro-climates, rich volcanic soil, and abundant river irrigation. Here you will meet the owners at Basel Cellars Estate Winery and at Castillo de Feliciana Vineyard & Winery. Enjoy original artwork and a smooth pour at Dunham Cellars.

Day 4: Palouse Falls State Park

Today you will visit the Palouse Falls State Park via bus along the Palouse River. According to the Palouse tribal legend, four giant brothers pursued a mythic creature called "Big Beaver." Fighting gallantly, each time Big Beaver was speared, the canyon walls were gouged until he tore out a huge canyon, the river tumbled over a cliff, and the falls were born. Return to the ship in the afternoon, where you may enjoy an onboard tasting and presentation by your wine host.

Day 5: Red Mountain

Today you will visit the Walter Clore Wine & Culinary Centre. Here you can learn about the diversity of the state’s wine and food products, perfect food pairings, and taste wines from a featured AVA. Continue onto the pride of the Red Mountain appellation—the smallest wine-grape growing region of Washington by acreage and known for its critically acclaimed reds. Enjoy a wonderful a tour, tasting, and lunch at the exquisite Terra Blanca Estate Winery & Vineyard. You will also have the opportunity to explore the rolling vineyards, wine caves and beautifully manicured estate grounds. Later your wine host and sommelier will guide you through an onboard tasting event before dinner.

Day 6: The Dalles, Oregon

Today you will disembark and visit the Maryhill Museum and the Columbia Gorge Discovery Centre. With its eclectic collection of European paintings, Native artifacts, and the Queen of Romania’s personal effects, the museum—a castle-like chateau—sits on a bluff overlooking the Columbia River Gorge. Along the museum’s adjacent slopes, marvel at the expansive views of the gorge below while tasting award-winning varietals at Maryhill Winery. Later you will stop for a tour and tasting at the Sunshine Mill Winery in The Dalles before the ship sails westwards.

Day 7: Willamette Valley

Set atop a Chehalem Mountain slope, you’ll enjoy a tour and tastings at world-renowned Ponzi Winery, producers of several rare Italian varietals and their highly-acclaimed Pinot Noir, a Willamette Valley specialty. And at Hawks View Cellars, tour the sustainable farmed 50-acre estate vineyard and sip on some award-winning Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. This evening onboard the S.S Legacy enjoy a wine extravaganza and city lights cruise along the Willamette River at the captain’s dinner.
