Skorpios III

Patagonia Cruise - 4 Day Ice Field Cruise (Kaweskar Route)

Constructed in 1995, and refurbished in 2007, the Skorpios III is a 90 passenger expedition vessel, operating in the southern ice field of Chile's Patagonia region. The ship features the most advanced telecommunication technology and satellite navigation, ensuring a safe journey as you visit the most renowned glaciers of the area and cruise through narrow channels and towering fjords. On board, the well-appointed cabins (which are slightly larger than those on sister ship, Skorpios II), modern en suite bathrooms throughout, and spacious public areas provide a warm and relaxing ambiance, while an experienced crew attends to your every need.

Not for the faint of heart, the Skorpios III is an expedition cruise that brings you up close and personal with exciting adventures in South America. With a maximum capacity of only 110 passengers, you are sure to have a truly authentic experience in exploring the stunning natural environment.

Not only will you have the opportunity to see 15 glaciers throughout the course of the cruise, but you will also learn about the evolution of a glacier and how it affects surrounding wildlife. Upon reaching the ends of the earth, you will be treated to a complimentary whisky toast to warm up. More optional tours of such locales as Torres del Paine National Park and Milodon Cave are available for guests who choose to take advantage.

The intimate nature of this cruise is further exhibited in the comfortable cabins, which feature not only private bathrooms, but also complimentary fridge-bars and plasma televisions.

Once settled into your cozy cabin, you may choose to spend time getting to know your fellow passengers in one of the three lounges on board, one of which allows smoking. At dinnertime, you will be treated to a delicious meal featuring fresh seafood, fine meats, Chilean wines and an open bar.
