Sea Cloud II

Malta to Venice 11 Day Cruise

The Sea Cloud II combines the timeless elegance of windjammers of the past with the highest safety standards and the luxurious comfort of modern ships. She is the world's largest three-masted barque, the first newly constructed square rigger in decades. Since her launch in 2001 she has shared with her sister ship “the Sea Cloud” the honor of being the world's only cruise ship sailed by hand. Day 1: Valletta

Today you will board the Sea Cloud II in La Valletta, where you will settle into your luxury cabins and enjoy your first dinner aboard the ship.

Day 2: Syracuse

The ship arrives at the small island of Ortygia calling at Syracuse, once described as the greatest and most beautiful of Greek cities. This city was later conquered by the Romans, Arabs, Byzantines and Normans and have left behind a unique architectural heritage. UNESCO declared Syracuse a World Heritage Site due to its archaelogical importance.

Day 3: At Sea

Spend the day at sea as the ship sails towards Otranto, Italy.

Day 4: Otranto, Italy

Arrive late afternoon at the seaside resort of Otranto, Italy.

Day 5: Otranto, Italy

Today you will have the opportunity to join an optional excursion to Lecce, situated on the heel of the Italian boot.

Day 6: Dubrovnik

Spend the day sailiing towards Dubrovnik, arriving late afternoon. Disembark the ship for an optional walking tour through the old town.

Day 7: Korcula

Arrive at the sixth largest island in the Adriatic, Korcula, rich in vineyards, small villages and vineyards. Join an optional city walk in the footsteps of Marco Polo.

Day 8: Zadar

Spend the afternoon and evening in Zadar with its modern promenade and fortified old town with the monumental Church of St Donatus, the square of five wells and four medieval gates.

Day 9: Rovinj, Croatia

Arrive at the beautiful town of Rovinj, one of the most romantic spots in Instria. This charming town is full of pastel coloured houses, cobbled streets and churches. From here you can join an excursion around the Istrian countryside and tasting the regional specialities.

Day 10: Trieste

Arrive at the charming city of Trieste with an optional city tour including a visit to Miramare Castle.

Day 11: Venice

Your voyage ends in Venice, where you will disembark the ship.
