The Russ is a modern river cruiser, originally constructed in Germany in 1987, then extensively renovated in 2007. As part of the recent renovation, the ship has been newly furnished with carpeting and furniture imported from the USA and Finland and she promises good levels of comfort as her guests enjoy the sights of the Russian waterways. All cabins are outside-facing with large (except lower deck) scenic windows, equipped with private facilities, air-conditioning, refrigerator and 220 volt sockets. Public areas and amenities aboard include a sauna, hairdressing salon, first-aid post and a souvenir shop.

Restaurant and Bar

The Russ has a large, informal restaurant and bar. Full board is included in your cruise, starting with dinner on day 1 and ending with breakfast on the final day. The ship's professional staff will serve up a menu featuring both international dishes and traditional Russian specialities such as blinis and caviar.

Lounge and Library

Share your stories with fellow passengers from every corner of the world or delve deep into your favourite book in the Russ' Lounge and Library

Sun Deck

The spacious sun deck is where you can relax and enjoy the passing panorama of lush countryside, charming towns, and onion-domed cathedrals as the Russ makes her way along the majestic Russian rivers.

English Speaking Guide

You will be accompanied on your cruise by a government-licensed English speaking tour guide, who will accompany you during shore excursions and share with you his/her wealth of knowledge on the history, mythology, art andf culture of the places you visit.

The Russ offers a great range of onboard entertainment: Get an insight into Russian history and culture through onboard lectures, while away the evening in the dance lounge, practice your Russian in an informal class or enjoy a live folklore music performance.
