Running on Waves is a traditional cruise tall ship designed for round-the-globe journeys and offers the highest level of comfort with full sailing equipment and high-performance engines. A voyage under the sails of Running on Waves is a unique experience and its itineraries offer guests a range of wonderful journeys including exploratory island cruises, adventure tours, or be a member of a sails crossing or regatta. The sailing ship can accommodate up to 42 passengers in very comfortable cabins and its amenities include a restaurant, bar and a spacious sun deck with jacuzzi. There is also a fully equipped diving centre, kayaks, sea skis, windsurfing, wakeboards and an underwater towing vehicle at your disposal (dive master can be provided upon request). You may also partake in yoga classes in the fresh sea air or perhaps learn how to manage the sails, climb masts, orient yourself by the skies, make sea knots, and map out the ship’s itinerary.

Part of its crater went under water during an eruption, thus creating a caldera – a funnel filled with sea water. Once up at the height of 220 meters above sea level, you will find yourself in the most beautiful town of Fira – the capital of Santorini. The scenery is spectacular, you will be amazed at the snow-white houses, blue roofs and thrilling views of the sea and sky merging together. The sunsets here are legendary.

During a stroll along the island, it is absolutely necessary to see the terrace of lions that protect the Holy Lake where, according to a legend, god Apollo was born. Look onto the theatre and wonderful mosaics in the House of Dolphins. Situated just a short distance away is the island of Mykonos. The island is known for its party scene during the summer months attracting hedonistic travellers from around the world to the bars, nightclubs, restaurants and cafes located in Mykonos Town, a maze of traditional whitewashed buildings.

Day 7: Syros
