Days 2-3: At Sea
Today you set sail across the Drake Passage. When you cross the Antarctic Convergence you will arrive in the circum-Antarctic up welling zone. In this area you may see Wandering Albatrosses, Grey Head Albatrosses, Black-browed Albatrosses, Light-mantled Sooty Albatrosses, Cape Pigeons, Southern Fulmars, Wilson’s Storm Petrels, Blue Petrels and Antarctic Petrels.

Day 4: Antarctic Peninsula
Today you sail directly to "High Antarctica", passing the Melchior Islands and the Schollaert Channel between Brabant and Anvers Island. On Cuverville Island, a small island, nestled between the mountains of the Antarctic Peninsula and Danco Island, you will find a large colony of Gentoo Penguins and breeding pairs of Brown Skuas.

Day 5: Danco Island
On Danco Island you may observe Chinstrap Penguins and possibly Weddell and Crabeater Seals. In Neko Harbour you will have the opportunity to step onto the Antarctic Continent, set against a backdrop of huge glaciers. You will also be able to take a cruise on a zodiac to Foyn Harbour or Nansen Island.

Day 6: Paradise Bay
When sailing to Paradise Bay, with its myriad icebergs and deep cut fjords, you will have the opportunity to try some zodiac cruising between the icebergs in the inner parts of the fjords. In this area there is a good chance that you will see Humpback Whales and Minke Whales. After sailing through the Neumayer Channel, you will visit the British research station and post office on Goudier Island. It may be possible to land at Jougla Point, close to Port Lockroy, where you might see Gentoo Penguins and Imperial Shags.

Day 7: Pleneau and Petermann Island - Vernadsky Station
Today you sail through the spectacular Lemaire Channel to Pleneau and Petermann Island where you will encounter Adelie Penguins and Blue-eyed Shags. In this area it is likely that you will see some Humpback Whales, Minke Whales and Fin Whales. A visit to one of the scientific stations in Antarctica will give you an insight into the life of modern Antarcticans working on the White Continent. Further south you may visit the Ukrainian Vernadsky Station, where you are sure to receive a warm welcome from the station crew.

Day 8: Neumayer Channel
Sailing north through Neumayer Channel you arrive at the beautiful Melchior Islands and will have another chance to take the zodiacs out among the icebergs. Here, you may encounter Leopard Seals, Crabeater Seals and Whales.
