Built in Myanmar in 2007, the Paukan is a floating boutique hotel, offering cruises on the fascinating Irrawaddy River between Bagan and Mandalay. With accommodation for just 55 passengers and with a crew of 22, the atmosphere is intimate and the service top class. The Paukan boasts a charming blend of contemporary design with traditional Myanmar touches such as teak fittings, local artwork and Amarapura fabrics. Her public areas include massage rooms, a lecture/movie room and an air-conditioned bar on the top deck. Outside you will find plenty of space to relax - from the outside bar and al fresco lounge to the spacious sun deck - all offering exceptional river views.

The 55-passenger Paukan travels the winding Irrawaddy to deliver the mysterious and awe-inspiring sights before your very cabin window. A boutique hotel on the water, the Paukan melds colonial aesthetics with modern amenities to ensure an easy and relaxing journey through southeastern Asia for each passenger.

Cabins on the Paukan are all varnished wood and Italian tile, equipped with en suite facilities, individually-controlled air conditioning, telephones, safes, and other amenities. Two massage parlours provide traditional Burmese massages to guests, while the upper deck's movie room provides screenings and lecture space. Dining aboard the Paukan is a fusion between Eastern and Western curisine. The Paukan takes you through Southeast Asia in authentic style and luxury.
