Built in Myanmar in 2007, the Paukan is a floating boutique hotel, offering cruises on the fascinating Irrawaddy River between Bagan and Mandalay. With accommodation for just 55 passengers and with a crew of 22, the atmosphere is intimate and the service top class. The Paukan boasts a charming blend of contemporary design with traditional Myanmar touches such as teak fittings, local artwork and Amarapura fabrics. Her public areas include massage rooms, a lecture/movie room and an air-conditioned bar on the top deck. Outside you will find plenty of space to relax - from the outside bar and al fresco lounge to the spacious sun deck - all offering exceptional river views.

The ship's restaurant is located on the Main Deck and features large windows so you won't miss any of the views while you are dining. Meals are served on an open seating basis. Depending on the number of passengers on board, breakfast and lunch may be served as a buffet but dinner is always served to the table. The chefs will prepare a mixture of eastern and western dishes and vegetarian dishes can be provided, if requested in advance. Tea, coffee and mineral water is available all day, free of charge.

Sun Deck

The Paukan has a large and inviting Sun Deck with plenty of comfortable loungers and both shaded and open areas. The Sun Deck has its own outdoor bar and a stage for cultural performances.

On the Paukan's top deck you will find a cool, air-conditioned saloon bar, serving all your favourite drinks.

Al Fresco Lounge

The Upper Deck is also home to the al fresco lounge, where you can relax in traditional rattan chairs and take in the gorgeous river views all around.

Massage Rooms

The ship has two massage rooms offering traditional Myanmar massage designed to give soothing relaxation. One is a single room, and the other offers massages for couples.

Cinema/Lecture Theatre

The Upper Deck has its own movie room/lecture theatre featuring an lcd projector and lcd TV screen.
