Built by Vanderhoeven Yachts of Holland, the Mistral is a 74 ft. Motor Yacht capable of a cruising speed of 10 knots. The Mistral is fully equipped for diving and ideal for the more adventurous naturalist or diver, who prefers the atmosphere of a small boat. An onboard naturalist takes the passengers on all shore excursions and shares extensive insights into the Islands diverse wildlife. Small boats, locally called pangas, ferry passengers to shore for Island visits. Accommodations include 8 cabins for a total of 16 passengers, all with air conditioning, a roomy closet, drawers, and private facilities. All cabins are beautifully furnished and include polished wood surfaces. The salon is spacious, with large windows for enjoying the Galapagos scenery, and is equipped with TV, VCR and stereo. Passengers can gather for their briefings on the next day's activities or just spend time reminiscing on the days discoveries. The lounge chairs on the deck are a perfect spot for enjoying the ocean breezes. The deck is covered for protection from the sun, but allows views of the Islands around you.
