SPECIAL OFFER - Christmas in Venice and on the lagoon 5 Day Cruise

Discover the beauty of Italy aboard the comfortable Michelangelo, a 2 deck ship constructed in 2000 and refurbished in 2010. The ship measures 110 metres in length and can accommodate up to 158 passengers in a total of 78 cabins. Facilities on board include a swimming pool and a spacious sun deck, complete with a shaded area. There is also a gift shop, a lounge bar with a dance floor and a restaurant serving French inspired cuisine. ****Please note that this is a French-operated ship and that French will usually be the first language spoken on board.****





Embark the ship in Venice.

Day 1: Venice

Board the Michelangelo around 6.00pm at the San Basilio’s quay (Santa Marta Vaporetto station) and set sail to the Riva 7 Martiri’s quay, the mooring point for the night. Settle into your cabin and then meet your crew over a welcome cocktail in the lounge before dinner. After dinner the evening is free to explore Venice at your own pace.

Day 2: Venice - Choggia - Venice

As you enjoy a leisurely breakfast on board, the ship sets sail across the Bay of Venice for Chioggia. Chioggia was established by the Romans and is home to works of art bearing witness to a great variety of styles and periods. Take a stroll around the town before returning to the ship in time for lunch. This afternoon you will have the option of a guided coach tour to Padua, the town of St Antoine di Padova, famous for its art and pilgrimages. Return to Venice by coach and rejoin the ship. After dinner on board, enjoy some free time Venice.

Day 3: Venice - Burano - Murano - Venice

After a leisurely breakfast you may spend Christmas Eve enjoying some free time in Venice or join an optional excursion by private boat to visit the islands in the lagoon. Murano, famous all over the world for its exquisite glass, and Burano, known for its tradition of lacework. In the afternoon you may join an optional guided visit of the Doge’s palace and St Mark’s square, Venice’s only true piazza. You will also see the exterior of the famous awe-inspiring basilica, one of the most beautiful in the world, with its Byzantine-style facades. Return to the ship for dinner on board and enjoy special Christmas Eve celebrations. You will have the option to attend Midnight Mass in Venice at St Marks Basilica (depending on availability). Return to the ship where you will be served a glass of mulled wine. Overnight in Venice.

Day 4: Venice

Wake up on Christmas morning in Venice. Enjoy breakfast and lunch on board and take full advantage of spending a relaxing date on the ship and discovering Venice at your own pace. The city was built in the 5th century and today a dream of a city with an enchanting mosaic of 118 islands stitched together by more than 400 bridges. In the evening enjoy a gala dinner followed by an evening of dancing and entertainment.

Day 5: Venice

After your final breakfast on board, disembark at the main passenger terminal in Venice.
