Isabela II

Central Galapagos 5 Day Cruise (departing Mondays)

The Isabela II is one of the most luxurious yachts operating in the Galapagos Islands. From dining room to stateroom, guests aboard the Isabela II will enjoy superior quality at all levels of service. Specifically designed for the longer 7-night Galapagos cruise expedition, this vessel features three public decks, 20 outside twin cabins and a library containing a large selection of reference books on the Galapagos and Ecuador as well as excellent nature and conservation videos. Guests can also make use of the snorkeling equipment, glass bottom boat and kayaks. The Isabela’s expedition team consists of three Naturalists who will delight guests with diverse natural history explanations, while the Captain and crew members are on hand to attend to your every need. The





Arrive at Baltra Airport and transfer by ferry to Santa Cruz Island. After lunch and a excursion to the Charles Darwin Research Station you will board Isabella II.

Day 1: Balta Airport - Santa Cruz Island

Arrive at Balta Airport and transfer by ferry to Santa Cruz Island. You will then take a 30 minute bus journey to a local restaurant in the Highlands of Santa Cruz. You will then visit the Charles Darwin Research Centre and the giant tortoise pens within an impressive giant prickly-pear cactus forest home to many land birds. Late afternoon stroll along the main street of Puerto Ayora before embarking on Yacht Isabela II.

Day 2: Santa Fe Island - South Plaza Island

Arrive at a stunning white sandy beach, home to a large population of sea lions and Galápagos hawks are often easily observed, perched atop salt bushes. The endemic land iguana, unique to this island, may be spotted during the walk. You may also enjoy swimming, snorkelling and kayaking here. In the afternoon arrive at South Plaza Island where you will find along its coastline, sea lion colonies and sea birds playing with the thermals that form along the cliffs of this small but amazing island.

Day 3: North Seymour Island - Las Bachas (Santa Cruz Island)

This morning the ship will cruise towards North Seymour Island where you will disembark (dry landing) for a walk along the coast and the interior of the island, observing bird colonies of blue footed boobies, frigate birds, swallow tailed gulls and also sea lions and marine iguanas. Here you may snorkel, kayak and also ride in the glass-bottom boat for great views of the underwater world. In the afternoon arrive at Las Bachas an important nesting area for the east Pacific green sea turtle. It boasts a wonderful white sand beach, with several brackish lagoons only a few steps away from the sea. These lagoons are the feeding grounds of various wading birds, from stilts to flamingos. Enjoy snorkelling and swimming here.

Day 4: Bartolomé Island - Sullivan Bay (James Island)

Disembark at Bartolome Island for a steep hike up to the summit. The view from the top makes the effort of the hike worthwhile! There will still be time for a panga ride around Pinnacle Rock where you can observe the underwater world. After lunch board the pangas to land at Sullivan Bay on the east coast of Santiago, a stunning white coral sand beach perfect for swimming.


Disembark the ship at Baltra Island.
