Arosa Mia - Danube Highlights Cruise

On board the modern, spacious A-ROSA Mia, there is a relaxed atmosphere with a focus on comfort and well-being. Day 1: Passau (Engelhartszell)

Arrive in Passau (Engelhartszell) and board the A-Rosa Mia this afternoon. Settle into your cabin and explore the range of amenities before setting sail at around 5pm. Enjoy your first dinner on board as the ship makes her way towards Vienna.

Day 2: Vienna

our classic cruise continues into Austria today, arriving in Vienna early-afternoon. Spend some time discovering the fascinating architecture of this imperial city, or perhaps visit one of the cafes for which the capital is famous?

Day 3: Vienna

The ship will remain in Vienna today. Why not join an optional sightseeing tour of the city to see the famous Ringstrasse, the State Opera, Hofburg Palace and the Belvedere Palace? In the afternoon you may wish to visit Schoenbrunn Palace or spend some time in one of the many elegant cafes for which the city is known. The A-Rosa Mia departs Vienna early evening.

Day 4: Esztergom - Budapest

Arrive in Esztergom, the original capital city of Hungary, where the first king, St Stephen, was crowned in AD 1000. In Esztergom you may join an optional tour of the immense Basilica. Arrive in Budapest this afternoon and enjoy some free time in the city.

Day 5: Budapest

Today is yours to explore Budapest, a city divided into two parts by the mighty Danube. This morning's optional tour takes you to the newer, cosmopolitan 'Pest' side of the city where you can see Heroes' Square, the famous Opera House and the imposing Parliament building. Then to 'Buda' where you can take in the views from the Fisherman's Bastion and see Matthias Church and Buda Castle at the centre of the Várnegyed castle district. The ship departs for Bratislava late afternoon.

Day 6: Bratislava

The ship sails from Hungary crossing into Slovakia and arriving in the capital, Bratislava, in the morning. Here you can join an optional city walking tour, taking in the cathedral, the lovingly restored city centre and the Primate's Palace with its famous tapestry exhibit and gallery. The ship will depart Krems and the Wachau Valley in the evening.

Day 7: Krems - Wachau Valley - Melk

Sail through the delightful scenic Wachau region to the west of Vienna. You will be able to disembark for a tour of this very picturesque area, including a visit to the impressive Benedictine Abbey at Melk. Tonight, enjoy your final dinner on board as the ship heads towards the German border.

Day 8: Passau

Your river cruise ends in Passau where you will disembark the ship.
