Your adventure begins in Quito where you will catch a short flight (30 mins) to the Amazon city of Coca. You will be welcomed on board by the crew and there will be time to settle into your suite and enjoy lunch as the ship sets sail eastwards along the Amazon. You will be joined by expert local naturalist guides who will provide us with a brief and informative introduction to the Ecuadorian Amazon. After dinner head join a nighttime forest walk to observe the forest's nocturnal activity and experience the thrill of rainforest life.

Day 2: The Pañacocha Biological Corridor

The Anakonda continues her navigation downstream to reach the Pañayacu River Delta, where you can take a canoe trip up the river to experience the sights of this fascinating reserve. This is the perfect habitat for Piranhas, the Water Monkey Fish (Arawana) and the White Caiman. The surrounding rainforest is home to 500 species of birds, more than 100 fish species and nine species of primates. Join nature walks led by local naturalist guides and enjoy a delicious Amazon-style BBQ and a cold drink at a nearby camp site. In the afternoon, you may go for a refreshing dip and kayaking. Return to the Anakonda where you may join a lecture and watch an educational documentary about the region.

Day 3: Parrot Clay Licks

In the morning you will set out in canoes to observe the incredible Parrot Clay Locks, a unique place rich in minerals which attracts hundreds of colourful parrots, parakeets and Amazon birds. Later you will also visit the Kichwa Cultural Centre where you can learn about the Amazon communities and their ancestral culture and traditions.
