Paris, Normandy and the River Seine Cruise (8 Days)

Embark the ship in Paris.

Day 1: Paris

Arrive in Paris and check in from 4pm onwards. Settle in to your cabin as the ship sets sail at 8pm and enjoy a Welcome Cocktail as you explore the range of amenities on board. Later this evening you can meet your fellow passengers at a Welcome Dinner on the ship.

Day 2: Conflans

Arrive in the Medieval town of Conflans where you may explore at leisure or join an optional excursion to Auvers sur Oise, a charming rural retreat where Van Gogh painted many of his most well-known works.

Day 3: Rouen

Today the ship arrives in Rouen, a wonderful historical city with its elegant spires, Gothic cathedral and beautifully restored medieval centre. Here you may join an optional walking tour exploring the city of 100 spires. In the afternoon the ship arrives at Caudebec-en-Caux, from here you may join an optional excursion to La route des Abbayes” (the Abbey Road). The excursion will include a visit to the church at Caudebec-en-Caux, which dates back to the 15th Century, then continue onto Jumièges where you will see the ruins of one of the finest abbeys in France.

Day 4: Le Havre

This morning join an optional excursion to Etretat, famous for its three natural arches and white chalk cliffs that tower high over the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a walking tour along the cliff paths. In the afternoon you may join an optional excursion to Honfleur, the jewel of Normandy's coast. Here you can discover the St. Catherine’s Church built solely of wood, its old streets and its outer harbour with its charming fishing boats.

Day 5: Le Havre - Caudebec en Caux

Today you have a choice of two optional excursions: D-Day landing beaches in Normandy or a tour of Normandy including visiting Bayeux, Pont l‘éveque, Trouville and Deauville. You will rejoin the ship in Caudebec en Caux.

Day 6: Les Andelys - Vernon - Poissy

Arrive at Les Andelys, a small town that lies in a tight bend on the River Seine. Riverside walks provide beautiful views of the ruined castle Chateau-Gaillard, the old houses of Petit-Andely and the Seine valley. Join an optional excursion to Chateau-Gaillard, the Stronghold of Richard the Lionheart. Mid morning you may also join an optional excursion to Versailles, where you can jump the queue and explore with your guide the symbol of absolute monarchy espoused by Louis XIV. Rejoin the ship in Poissy. In the evening enjoy the Captain's Gala Dinner.

Day 7: Paris

Arrive back in Paris where you will spend the day exploring this wonderful cosmopolitan city packed full of world class museums, galleries and fine architecture. Enjoy an optional city tour in the morning and an optional guided walking tour of the Montmartre district in the afternoon. In the evening enjoy a Paris by Night illuminated cruise on the Seine (optional).

Day 8: Paris

Your cruise comes to an end in Paris. Disembark the ship after your final breakfast.
