Amadeus Diamond

Golf Cruise on the Seine from Paris

The Amadeus Diamond is a five star floating hotel carrying up to 140 guests in exquisite style and comfort cruising on France’s Seine River. The vessel’s interiors are bright and airy, and her generously proportioned cabins offer panoramic views of the passing scenery.

Embark the ship in Paris.

Day 1: Paris

Arrive in Paris and check in from 4pm this afternoon. Enjoy a welcome cocktail as you settle into your cabin and explore the range of amenities on board. This evening the captain invites you to join the Welcome Dinner on board. In the mean time as the the ship departs Paris, you will be briefed on all onshore excursions, golf clubs and starting times.

Day 2: Conflans

Arrive in Conflans, at the confluence of the Oise and the Seine. In the morning, you will be transferred to the famous Le Golf National club, which is situated southwest of Paris in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, near the Palace of Versailles. Le Golf National features the Albatros golf course, which is considered one of the best in Europe and has seen further improvements since it was chosen as the host venue for the Ryder Cup 2018. Enjoy dinner on board in the evening.

Day 3: Rouen

This morning the ship arrives in Rouen, often called the “Ville Musée” (Museum Town) because of the many art, history, and antiquities museums scattered across the city. The town is also known for the cathedral that inspired Claude Monet, the modern Church of Joan of Arc, with its magnificent 16th century stained-glass windows, the “Gros Horloge” (astronomical clock), and the Parliament of Normandy. You may enjoy a guided walking tour this morning and then be transferred to the Golf Hôtel de Saint Saëns, which is picturesquely situated bordering the Eawy Forest – the largest beechwood forest in France.

Day 4: Le Havre

This morning, transfer to the breathtaking Golf d’Étretat Golf Club set above the cliffs of Étretat with a spectacular view of the English Channel. The magnificent, wave-cut arches of the famous cliffs and the charming village below, the Étretat Golf Club is over 100 years old and is considered one of the three best French seaside golf courses. After visiting this famous golf club, join the walking tour along the cliff paths of Étretat, where the iconic, steep chalk cliffs and impressive needle-like formations of the Normandy coastline have inspired many well-known artists.

Day 5: Le Havre - Caudebec-En-Caux

In the morning, you will be transferred to the renowned Golf de Deauville Saint-Gatien club. Situated in the heart of the “Pays d’Auge”, Normandy. The course is set in idyllic natural surroundings and stretches across both a valley and the higher terrain of a plain, surrounded by forests and overlooking the Seine River and the English Channel. Although there are no water hazards here, golfers are sure to enjoy both the technical challenges of the courses as well as the beautiful natural surroundings – from the varied tree and plant species to the panoramic views of lakes, rivers and the sea beyond the dunes of Granville. In the evening, celebrate your success at the Champions-Cocktail and the Award Ceremony with the captain.

Day 6: Les Andelys - Vernon - Poissy

Today the ship arrives in the small town of Les Andelys in the shadow of Château Gaillard, once home to Richard Lionheart. Here you may join an optional excursion to Richard Lionheart’s Château and the nearby village of Giverny, which was home to the famous Impressionist Claude Monet until his death in 1926. The beautiful surroundings and vivid flora inspired many of his most famous works. Return to the ship in Vernon for lunch. You may also choose to join an optional excursion to the spectacular Palace of Versailles, one of Europe’s largest palaces. In the evening, the captain invites you to his Gala Dinner - a wonderful finish to a fantastic day.

Day 7: Paris

In the early hours of the morning you will arrive back in french capital, Paris. The day is yours to explore this romantic city. An optional city tour takes you to the Cathedral of Notre-Dame, the Eiffel Tower, and the bustling Champs-Élysées in the morning. In the afternoon, another optional tour allows you to explore the quirky artists’ district of Montmartre and the Sacré-Coeur, located on the highest hill in northern Paris. Since this is your last evening, why not join the optional boat ride, “Paris by Bight: Illumination Cruise on the Seine,” to see the “City of Lights” in all its glory.
