Aboard the Deutschland

The Deutschland is currently Germany's only five-star cruise ship and is renowned throughout the luxury cruise industry. Large enough to voyage the seven seas yet small enough to visit ports inaccessible to cruise liners, it is the ideal choice for luxurious and wide-ranging cruise holidays. The plush décor is reminiscent of a 1920's grand hotel with its rich brass balustrades and ornate art deco furniture which along with the discrete, unrivalled level of service from the staff, creates a sophisticated and personalised experience for cruise lovers.

While traditional in style, the Deutschland offers myriad comforts and services characteristic of a modern luxury hotel and with one crew member for every two passengers, cruise holidaymakers can be sure that their individual's needs are catered for. Spanning seven decks the onboard amenities include a cinema, imperial ballroom, elegant staterooms, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, Roman bath, Finnish sauna, golf facilities, a beauty salon, three fine dining restaurants, boutique shops, bars, lounges, a gym, a lido and even a pool deck. Entertainment is provided in the form of concerts, ballet shows, operatic performances, children's workshops, destination talks and Vaudeville theatre productions. The ship accommodates a maximum of 580 passengers which enables guests to enjoy their time onboard and each destination without the stressful experience of being part of a large crowd.

There are six types of cabins available ranging from 30 to 12 square metres. Suites have large separate lounges, bathtubs and butler service and all cabins include air conditioning, double or twin beds, mini bars, TVs and telephones. The Deutschland offers an exceptional setting from which to enjoy the Latin sights and sounds; the ship's selection by the International Olympics Committee is testament to the high-end cruise experience offered to all guests.
