Built in Austria in 1978, the Anton Chekhov is a comfortable and well maintained vessel which has been upgraded on a number of occasions. The last major refit was in 2003. The ship is well furnished in an attractive Russian style and the staff on board offer a friendly and efficient service. All cabins have outside views with a large picture window and a private shower and toilet. The public areas include two bars, a swimming pool under a sliding glass roof, dining room where russian influenced cuisine is served, reading room and lecture lounge, shop, hairdresser and sauna.
