David B
The M/V David B was built in 1929 and has recently been fully restored for new service as a passenger vessel. She has two decks: the main deck and a below-deck level. As you wander the main deck, you’ll find the pilothouse and galley. The pilothouse includes the bridgedeck with the helm, some passenger seating (and some great views as we travel up the Inside Passage or among the San Juan Islands). Step down from the bridge into the cozy galley, with our charming Heartland Sweetheart wood-burning stove. Relax in our comfortable dining area with its wrap-around windows, seating for eight, and a spectacular view of the scenery, birds, whales, and other wildlife we might pass along the way. The below-deck level is comprised of the accommodations, engine room, and storage areas. As you climb down the ladder, you'll discover staterooms for eight (even though we only carry six passengers on any given trip). Each stateroom includes its own private head (toilet) and sink. There are three double staterooms with queen-size beds, and one double stateroom with bunk-style beds. Also, below deck there is a public head with a luxurious cast-iron bathtub (with a shower), a sink and a toilet.

Grace Bailey
Grace Bailey is unquestionably the finest example of a 19th-century coaster afloat today. She is a beautiful flagship unmatched for authentic windjamming in New England. Built in 1882 she sailed to the West Indies in the Fruit Trade and carried granite to New York City to help build Grand Central Station. At 123 feet, she can accommodate 29 passengers. Mercantile
The well-loved Mercantile is a joy to behold and is often referred to as the "Prettiest coaster on the Bay." This vessel was built and operated for almost her entire career in this area. A familiar sight in many local ports for over 80 years, she is dear to the hearts of many of the island old-timers. Built in 1916 and restored in 1989, she is 115 feet overall (80 feet on deck) and has accommodations for 29 passengers. A shoal-draft vessel, she was designed to take on and discharge cargo in out of the way places inaccessible to deeper draft vessels. Today, this feature allows us to explore secluded ports including some that the Mercantile originally served as a cargo vessel. This lovely schooner began sailing out of Camden in 1942 as part of Frank Swift's Maine Windjammer Cruises® fleet. During a total restoration in 1989, the Mercantile was refit with a new galley and accommodations while maintaining her authentic character.

Mistress
The Mistress is our specialty boat because she is a blend of a traditional schooner and private yacht. She was built on Deer Isle, Maine, on the same lines as the old coastal schooners, but with modern accommodations below decks. She is rigged in the traditional manner: block and tackle, deadeyes and lanyard, but unlike the bigger coasters, she has inboard power. Built in 1960 and restored in 1992, she is 60 feet overall, 46 feet on deck and accommodates 6 passengers. The Mistress has filled a niche in the industry for people who want to go windjamming but require more privacy than the larger boats offer. With just six passengers, it's almost like having your own yacht. Delicious meals are served in the tradition of the Grace Bailey and the Mercantile. The personable, professional captain and mate-cook welcome you to help sail and navigate, or just relax. Each of her three private, double cabins, has its own head, sink, and private companionway from the deck.

Mary Day
The first Maine windjammer built especially for passengers, the Schooner Mary Day was designed with comfort in mind. The main saloon is large and welcoming and offers several cozy sitting areas. Just forward is the galley, where you're always welcome to take a peek at what's cooking. Each of the cheerful cabins has ample headroom, easy access from the deck, and an opening skylight and window providing plenty of fresh air and sunshine. On deck, an uncluttered layout invites you to stretch out with a good book and good company. With just 28 passengers on board, her 90-foot deck length and 23-foot beam means there's plenty of space for everyone. Underway, you will find the Mary Day sure and stable. Steadied by the wind in her sails, she doesn't roll like a motor vessel so there is very little likelihood of seasickness. Happily, the Mary Day was also designed with speed in mind. Recognized as an outstanding performer, she is a regular competitor in the annual Great Schooner Race. Her sleek hull allows her to clip along at ten knots or better. What's more, her centerboard, easily hauled up in shallower waters, allows us to sneak into marvelous little anchorages that are off-limits to deep-draft keel boats.
