The vessel has a split-level lounge/dining room, a quiet library and writing room. The lounge/dining area was designed to reflect the colors of Provence, its subtle peach and cream decor highlighted with accents of amber and turquoise. The cool mosaic tiled dining area and white oak floored salon is complemented by wrought iron and hardwood balustrades. Colibri is a classic Dutch Luxemotor canal barge, built in Friesland Holland in 1931, and lovingly converted into a luxury hotel barge. Colibri has been completely refitted in 2004 and upon the splendid foundations we have added a touch of luxury and an air of relaxed elegance. Despite her generous size Colibri takes only four guests, thus affording space and maximum comfort to all parties. The interior is air conditioned to ensure your well-being. Sleeping accommodation is in two staterooms with generous en-suite bathrooms. The beds are European king-size, or you may choose two twin beds to afford flexibility to guest's arrangements. The cabins are furnished with French oak furniture with ample hanging space and draws to unpack into and feel at home. The bathrooms have hairdryers and bathrobes. On deck there is the canopied wheelhouse, where you may be shaded and chat with the Captain and be involved in all aspects of cruising the canals. The large shaded deck space allows for comfortable al fresco dining, and the chance to relax and find yourselves in awe of the scenery as we pass ancient villages and vineyards. The best features of a relaxed, contemporary lifestyle combined with every luxury imaginable. The spacious salon is furnished in Italian leather furniture.
The separate dining room boasts a fully equipped demonstration kitchen, where the Chef gives planned and impromptu demonstrations in French and Continental cuisine during the cruise. Or you may prefer to spend time relaxing and chatting with the Captain in the pilot house, which includes guest seating, or relaxing in the hot tub located on the foredeck. Each of Prosperite's four staterooms measures approximately 270 square-feet and features an electronically adjustable oversized twin or king bed and private bath with tub, separate shower, and heated towel racks.
Staterooms also feature individual heat, air conditioning and stereo systems. There will be 5 crew members on board to cater for your needs while you relax on the main deck or anywhere else on the luxury barge, Prosperite.
