India
India has a rich diversity of culture and tradition, dominated by religious and spiritual themes. It's probably the only country where people of so many different origins, religious beliefs, languages and ethnic background coexist. North India makes up the largest region in India and houses Delhi, the capital city. In the east, there is Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), now the biggest city in India. Surrounded by three oceans, southern India has been only slightly influenced by the outside world, meaning most of its original heritage remains intact. The chance for exploring these parts of India, by boat, along her inland waterways and coastline is very possible and will bring great pleasure and experience in the process. Read more on India

Charaidew
The "Charaidew" is a 38m long twin-engine steel hulled passenger boat. She was converted in 2003 to provide 12 generous-sized twin-bedded cabins with en-suite shower and W.C. All cabin accommodation is on the upper deck, as is a bar and saloon opening onto a front deck. A dining room with full length opening glass doors on each side is on the lower deck, while a large top sundeck offers additional comfortable open-air seating in shade or sun. The maximum group size of 24 is well-matched to the numbers of riding elephants available in National Parks along the valley, while the need to use jeeps to access the river beaches also limits group size. The result is an ideal number for fostering a friendly house-party atmosphere on board.

Sukapha
The "Sukapha" keeps closely as possible to the design of "Charaidew", both from popular demand and reasons of practicality, thereby retaining all the attractive features which make our original vessel so popular. The overall dimensions of "Sukapha" are similar to "Charaidew" and she is also powered by twin engines. Her 12 cabins are equally roomy and we have retained the much appreciated comfortable chairs by the picture windows for relaxing in privacy. The spacious saloon has French windows opening onto a front balcony deck and the dining room again has glass doors down each side. Specially-commissioned furniture and locally-woven soft furnishings match those on "Charaidew". Again, the large sundeck offers the opportunity to relax on comfortable cane rattan chairs and sun loungers. All cabins and public rooms on both ships are air-conditioned. Food on board is a mixture of Assamese (milder than most Indian cuisine) and continental. Wines, beer and spirits are available.
