For anyone who has physical limitations, we operate a hotel barge in Southern Burgundy called La Reine Pedauque. Designed specially to accommodate passengers with physical challenges and fitted with a lift for wheelchairs and a stair lift for access between decks, and the doors are wide enough for wheelchair access on all decks.
The Royal suites have a shower seat, commode and handrails next to the shower and the height of the bed is only 70cm high for easy accessibility. The minibus also has a wheelchair lift.

The Meanderer originally a 1948 Belgian "Spitz" commercial barge was converted to a luxury hotel barge in 1992. Since her conversion she has been continually upgraded and now offers probably the most luxurious six passenger barge specification available in Europe. The barge has three en suite cabins with configurable queen or twin beds, private bathroom with WC and shower, wardrobe, closet space, opening windows and sky-lights, hair dryer and bathrobe. As well as this the cabins have satellite flat screen TV's, Video, DVD and CD players. A large lounge and dining areas, a spacious, teak covered sun-deck and an outdoor heated spa-pool, she is the perfect vessel for exploring the Upper Loire in style. The flexible twin or queen bed arrangements and newly decorated, air-conditioned cabins and saloon perfectly complement the spacious outdoor space. The barge has Wireless Internet Access available for guests, central heating and air conditioning throughout and 6 identical bicycles for guest use. We regret the barge is unsuitable for small children. However, we welcome children of 12 and over for charter groups and over 16's for non-charter bookings.
